STEM Education

I’m interested in improving the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) student experience: my current activities include an NSF-funded research project on student self-efficacy in engineering design courses and a summer program for undergraduates to do research in engineering education. I also collaborate with faculty at other engineering schools and speak and write widely about engineering education, including a regular column in Prism magazine. Finally, I have a longstanding interest in gender and STEM.
